New Shops, New Treats, New Construction!
Our West Coast Disney fans are in for a big treat! The Downtown Disney District at the Disneyland Resort is getting a major update, and we’re thrilled to share this exclusive first look with you at what’s coming soon.
Avengers Reserve
Coming this winter to Downtown Disney is a brand-new, one-stop shop for all things Avengers. Marvel fans won’t want to miss this opportunity to find their favorite characters through collectibles, apparel, accessories, toys, comics, and more! It’s the perfect addition to get us hyped for the Avengers Campus expansion.
D-Lander Shop
Another exciting winter 2024 addition is the D-Lander Shop! This new boutique will feature trendy clothes and accessories for Disneyland fans, all with a uniquely Californian style.
Disney Wonderful World of Sweets
The popular Werther’s Original Caramel popcorn from the Germany pavilion in Walt Disney World’s EPCOT is coming to the Downtown Disney District! Even better, Marceline Confectionery is getting a retheme and expansion. This winter, visitors will say goodbye to Marceline Confectionery and hello to Disney Wonderful World of Sweets. As the name suggests, this new and improved store will be home to all your favorite sweets and treats. In addition to the caramel popcorn, other Disney goodies will include churro toffee, caramel apples, sour balls, lollipops, and much more!
Kawaii Slime
New cart, new opportunity! The Kawaii Slime cart is also coming to Downtown Disney. This mom-owned business focuses on selling nothing but ‘cuteness’ with an impressive array of slimes and toys. Starting this fall, guests and kids of all ages can purchase the “cutest slime ever!”
The Carnaby Tavern
A two-story building is going up in Downtown Disney! The ground level will house a new Earl of Sandwich eatery. However, atop the beloved quick-service spot, a new table-service concept is coming! Disney stated, “The Carnaby Tavern is being designed as an homage to the swinging ‘60s ‘British Invasion’ pop and rock bands from the U.K. The full-service restaurant will feature a patio with an indoor/outdoor full-service bar.”
In addition, the soon-to-be former location for the Earl of Sandwich quick-service will close in 2025 and be transformed into “Porto’s Bakery.”
Plus 2 New Restaurants!
Downtown Disney is getting two new restaurants by Michelin-starred Chef Joe Isidori: a steakhouse and a barbecue eatery. These restaurants will take over the area where Tortilla Jo’s used to be.
At the table-service steakhouse, guests will dine in a sophisticated atmosphere with a mouth-watering menu featuring prime cuts of beef, chops, fresh seafood, sandwiches, and chopped salads. An impressive selection of cocktails and bourbon will also be available.
Next door, Chef Joe Isidori’s barbecue quick-service eatery will offer traditional BBQ favorites such as pulled pork, beef brisket, and smoked wings. Guests can expect the chef to use unique spices and house-made sauces in the BBQ dishes. An outdoor bar will feature craft beers and moonshine cocktails for an authentically American dining experience.
Although no opening dates have been revealed yet, we’re excited to learn more.
