Welcome aboard the Disney Treasure Cruise, the newest gem in the Disney Cruise Line fleet! Get ready, Disney fans, for an ocean of excitement with this brand-new ship. What makes the Disney Treasure even more special?
Disney has honored its cast, crew, and employees worldwide by naming them the ship’s honorary “godparents.” This tribute recognizes the incredible people who create Disney magic daily.
At 6 a.m. ET, just before sunrise, the Disney Treasure glistened as it approached Port Canaveral for the first time. The ship was welcomed by Captain Mickey, Captain Minnie, and over 250 cast members, marking the completion of its transatlantic journey and arrival in the U.S.!

The role of a ship’s godparent brings luck and blessings. Most importantly, it symbolizes prosperity and success. In 2022, Disney Cruise Line reimagined this by naming all Make-A-Wish children as godchildren of the Disney Wish ceremony, this sister ship to the Disney Treasure.

The Disney Treasure is part of a multi-year expansion of the award-winning fleet, which currently includes six ships and seven more ships on the way by 2031. The period of growth strengthens Disney Cruise Line’s role as an ambassador of Disney storytelling, bringing beloved entertainment and characters to families across the globe.
