This photo guide looks back at the gingerbread creations announced for Walt Disney World and Disneyland Resort in 2024. Disney’s original announcement also used photographs of earlier displays to illustrate the traditions, so the gallery should not be treated as a photo record of every finished 2024 creation.
Where were the 2024 Disney gingerbread displays?
EPCOT: gingerbread Spaceship Earth
Announced for November 29, 2024, this 8-foot display brought a gingerbread version of Spaceship Earth to CommuniCore Hall. Nearly 1,000 triangles formed the sphere, with lights, music and 11 hidden Mickeys. See our 2024 Spaceship Earth gingerbread photos.
Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge: gingerbread animals
The 2024 announcement set November 24 for the return of Ginger the giraffe and Debra the zebra. These animal creations used gingerbread alongside sugar dough and modeling chocolate.
Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort: gingerbread house
The house celebrated its 25th anniversary in 2024, with an announced November 6 opening. Its details included an 88-pound white chocolate Santa, more than 10,000 gingerbread pieces and 25 hidden Mickeys. Disney’s 2024 visitor guidance directed guests without hotel or dining reservations to the Transportation and Ticket Center and resort monorail instead of the resort parking lot. That was guidance for this event; verify parking access for a future visit.
Disney’s Beach Club Resort: holiday carousel
The 2024 carousel used a Mickey’s Christmas Carol theme and included 24 hidden Mickeys. The rotating display continued the resort’s holiday tradition.
Disney’s BoardWalk Inn: gingerbread BoardWalk
The 2024 BoardWalk Deli gingerbread display was announced for November 12. It recreated details from the BoardWalk in miniature.
Disney’s Contemporary Resort: gingerbread castle
Announced for November 8, 2024, the fourth-floor castle display stood more than 17 feet tall. Its design drew on Cinderella Castle Dream Lights and included more than 4,000 gingerbread bricks, 13 hidden Mickeys and a five-legged goat.
Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa: gingerbread hotel
At Disneyland Resort in California, the 2024 display was announced for November 22. The hotel-inspired creation featured Chip ’n’ Dale in holiday pajamas and 25 hidden Mickeys. It stood approximately 7 feet tall and 12 feet wide.
Disneyland Park: Haunted Mansion Holiday gingerbread
The 2024 attraction overlay featured Lil’ Franky, Dr. Finkelstein’s gingerbread zombie. This was that season’s design, not a permanent display or a guarantee for later years.
What holiday treats were offered in 2024?
Seasonal menus included gingerbread cookies, shingles, cakes and other sweets. Availability differed by location. For example, the Grand Floridian’s Santa Gnome Hot Cocoa Surprise was exclusive to its assorted gift box. These past menus are not current ordering options.
Wilderness Lodge also offered holiday treats starting November 21, 2024. A sweets location is not the same thing as a large gingerbread display.
How do you plan a Disney gingerbread tour?
First decide whether your trip is to Florida or California. The two destinations in this article cannot be combined into one local resort tour. Then choose a few stops near your hotel or park plans, allow travel time and confirm that year’s display dates. Do not assume a display returns simply because it appeared in 2024.
