The much-anticipated Disney Treasure christening event was nothing short of magical as Disney Cruise Line unveiled its newest ship in the heart of New York City! From breathtaking entertainment to dazzling technology, Disney’s signature storytelling took center stage! This marks the beginning of a new era of adventures on the high seas.
A Star-Studded Celebration
The festivities kicked off in grand style with none other than Grammy-nominated singer Jordin Sparks, who added a touch of star power to the evening. Her performance, brimming with emotion and elegance, set the perfect tone for what would be a night to remember. In addition, a Christening wouldn’t be complete without Bob Iger, Josh D’Amaro, Mickey, and Minnie! They introduced the Disney Treasure with a special thanks to everyone who made this ship possible and the crew who will be making all the magic happen aboard.
A Sky Full of Magic: The Drone Show
One of the highlights of the evening was an adventurous drone show that lit up the NYC skyline. Hundreds of drones danced across the night sky, painting scenes inspired by the Disney Treasure’s enchanting themes. Beloved characters from Aladdin, Coco, Moana, and the Haunted Mansion came to life in glowing formations that left onlookers in awe.
The finale of the drone show was nothing short of iconic. A massive champagne bottle took shape in the sky, symbolically christening the ship in a way only Disney could imagine. It was a breathtaking moment that perfectly blended Disney’s innovation with its timeless sense of wonder.
The Disney Treasure’s Grand Debut
As the champagne bottle sparkled in the sky, the Disney Treasure’s signature horns pierced the night air. Playing a medley of Disney classics like A Whole New World from Aladdin, the horns celebrated the ship’s adventurous spirit and its promise of magical memories for years to come.
The Treasure’s theme of exploration and storytelling was reflected in every detail of the ceremony. This left guests and fans alike with a sense of excitement for what’s to come aboard!
