Reviewed October 13, 2026. Lightning Lane Premier Pass is an optional paid upgrade for guests who want to visit eligible attractions without reserving individual arrival windows. It does not include park admission, unlimited repeat rides, or a promise of no wait.
What does Lightning Lane Premier Pass include?
Premier Pass includes one Lightning Lane entry at each available participating attraction, including rides sold separately as Single Pass attractions. Walt Disney World’s version covers one park for one day. Disneyland’s version covers both parks, but you need admission that permits visiting both.
When can you buy Premier Pass at Walt Disney World?
It is no longer limited to Deluxe hotel guests. Eligible Disney Resort, Swan, Dolphin, Swan Reserve, and Shades of Green guests can buy seven days before check-in for their stay, up to 14 days. Other guests can buy three days ahead; date-based ticket holders count from the ticket start date, while other ticket holders count from each visit. Purchases open at 7 a.m. Eastern Time in My Disney Experience.
When can you buy Premier Pass at Disneyland?
The Disneyland app normally opens purchases seven days before the park visit at 7 a.m. Pacific Time. Disney lists a separate rule for Walt Disney Travel Company packages: purchase becomes possible when package tickets arrive two days before arrival. Valid admission and park reservations are required. Availability is limited.
How much does Premier Pass cost?
Prices vary. Check the appropriate Disney app for your date and, at Walt Disney World, your chosen park. A price from the 2024 launch is not a reliable quote for 2026 or 2027. Compare your total party cost before purchasing; the pass is charged separately from your tickets.
Is Premier Pass worth it for a first trip?
Start with the attractions your group actually wants to experience. A family taking frequent breaks may have different priorities from adults planning a full day of rides. Ask yourselves:
- Which eligible rides are must-dos, and can everyone meet their height requirements?
- How much is avoiding scheduled return windows worth to our group?
- Would Multi Pass plus a selected Single Pass better fit our budget?
- At Walt Disney World, will we spend enough time in the one park covered?
Premier Pass cannot make a closed attraction operate. Check ride availability and the day’s hours, and leave time for meals, shows, and walking between attractions.
