2024 holiday archive — reviewed October 13, 2026. Holidays at Disneyland Resort ran November 15, 2024–January 6, 2025. Those dates and seasonal offerings are historical, not a schedule for an upcoming vacation.
This look back explains what guests could experience in each park. For your next trip, use our Disneyland Planning Guide and confirm entertainment for your actual visit dates.
What was new for Disneyland’s 2024 holiday season?
- Santa at Fantasyland Theatre: Disneyland Park offered character visits, crafts, storytelling, and music. Santa’s resort hotel appearances ran November 28–December 24, 2024.
- Festive character outfits: Mickey and Minnie had new holiday looks.
- Chip and Dale’s Ornament Trail: This Downtown Disney activity ran November 22, 2024–January 1, 2025. Guests purchased a map and redeemed it for a keepsake while supplies lasted.
- Tiana’s Bayou Adventure: The Disneyland attraction opened November 15, 2024. It was a permanent attraction opening during the holiday season, not a Christmas-only ride.
Which park had the holiday shows?
Disneyland Park: Seasonal entertainment included “Believe… In Holiday Magic,” alongside the park’s holiday decorations and attraction overlays. Fireworks depended on conditions.
Disney California Adventure: Guests could enjoy “World of Color – Season of Light,” Disney Festival of Holidays, “Mickey’s Happy Holidays,” and Disney ¡Viva Navidad! offerings. These were California experiences; they should not be confused with Magic Kingdom’s parades in Florida.
Which attractions had holiday overlays?
At Disneyland, “it’s a small world” Holiday and Haunted Mansion Holiday changed familiar rides for the season. Cars Land at Disney California Adventure featured Luigi’s Joy to the Whirl and Mater’s Jingle Jamboree. An overlay means seasonal changes to an existing attraction, rather than a separate park or admission ticket.
What about holiday food and character dining?
The 2024 season brought special treats, including Mickey-shaped gingerbread, plus hotel dining experiences such as Mickey’s Holiday Pajama Party at Storytellers Cafe. Menus, merchandise, and themed meals can change between years. A photograph from 2024 does not guarantee that an item is available now.
How should first-time visitors plan a holiday trip?
- Decide which experiences are in Disneyland Park and which are in Disney California Adventure before buying tickets.
- Check the current calendar before selecting a day primarily for a parade or nighttime show.
- Leave room for meals and breaks instead of trying to see every seasonal offering.
- Compare hotel locations and room needs. Our Villas at Disneyland Hotel guide explains one option.
