What travel documents should go in my carry-on?
Keep the required travel documents for every traveler in your carry-on. Requirements depend on citizenship, age and itinerary; a driver’s license or birth certificate alone is not a universal substitute for a passport. Check Disney’s itinerary-specific travel-document requirements well before departure and bring the required originals. A phone photo is not a substitute for a required original document.

Keep your completed online check-in information and Port Arrival Form accessible. Follow the luggage-tag instructions for your sailing and label the bags you plan to check. Do not pack boarding documents inside those checked bags.
What medication should I keep with me?
Keep needed medication and essential medical supplies with you, along with any instructions you need during travel. If you want advice about motion-sickness medicine, ask your clinician or pharmacist before the trip rather than choosing a remedy from a general packing list.
Should I pack swimwear for embarkation day?
Pack swimwear, sunscreen and a change of clothes if you hope to use the pools before your checked luggage arrives. Pool and waterslide operation depends on the day’s schedule, weather and safety requirements; opening immediately after boarding is not guaranteed.

You’ll definitely want to capture all those magical moments from the moment you board, so don’t forget to pack your phone and a portable charger in your Disney Cruise carry-on essentials. Keeping your devices charged will help you stay connected and ready to document all the fun throughout the day.
What are the battery and prohibited-item rules?
Keep valuables and essential electronics with you. If you are flying to the port, airline baggage rules are a separate requirement: spare lithium batteries and power banks must stay in the aircraft cabin, including when your bag is gate-checked. Check your airline’s limits and the FAA battery guidance.
Also review Disney Cruise Line’s prohibited-item rules. An item allowed on an airplane is not automatically allowed on a cruise. Disney does not permit damaged batteries, and charging batteries should never be left unattended.
