Updated October 13, 2026: Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser is permanently closed. Its final voyage took place September 28–30, 2023. You cannot book a stay or tour aboard the Halcyon.
This article originally covered the final voyage. For a first trip today, plan your Star Wars experiences at Disney’s Hollywood Studios instead.

Can you still visit Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser?
No. The hotel experience is no longer available to guests. Disney confirms the closure in its Galactic Starcruiser booking answer.
What was the Galactic Starcruiser experience?
The Halcyon offered a two-night, story-driven stay with character encounters, meals, lightsaber training, and interactive missions. Those activities were part of the former hotel experience; they are not current hotel amenities or bookable vacation extras.
Where can first-time visitors enjoy Star Wars now?
Start with Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. The land is part of a theme park, not a hotel. Plan park admission, transportation, and your must-do experiences before choosing any optional extras.
Use our Walt Disney World Planning Guide to organize park days and our Disney World Resort Guide to compare places to stay.
What is happening with the Galactic Starcruiser
The former Galactic Starcruiser building is not a guest hotel or attraction you can reserve. For vacation planning, focus on operating resorts and experiences rather than reports about future uses of the building.
