What was Disneyland’s 70th anniversary celebration?
The “Celebrate Happy” celebration marked seven decades of Disneyland. Special character outfits, colorful decorations, and anniversary entertainment appeared across Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park. The two parks have separate admission requirements, so a show in one park was not automatically accessible with a ticket to the other.
Which nighttime shows were part of the celebration?
World of Color Happiness! at Disney California Adventure
This nighttime production used fountains, lighting, and Disney and Pixar stories at Paradise Bay. The original announcement artwork below is concept art, rather than a photograph of a live performance.
Paint the Night at Disneyland Park
The illuminated parade returned for the anniversary. Its floats included Mack from Cars, pictured below. For a future visit, check the Disneyland app for that day’s parade schedule before arranging dining around it.
Wondrous Journeys at Disneyland Park
This nighttime spectacular celebrated Walt Disney Animation Studios through projections, with fireworks on select nights. Fireworks and projections are not interchangeable listings: weather and the scheduled version can affect what you see.
What daytime entertainment did guests see?
“Better Together: A Pixar Pals Celebration!” brought Pixar characters to Disney California Adventure. Disneyland Park also featured “The Celebrate Happy Cavalcade.” A cavalcade is a shorter character procession, rather than a full parade.
When did Walt Disney – A Magical Life open?
“Walt Disney – A Magical Life” opened at the Main Street Opera House on July 17, 2025. It tells Walt Disney’s story and includes an Audio-Animatronics figure of Walt. It should no longer be described as a coming-soon attraction.
Can you still book the 70th anniversary hotel discount?
No. The hotel promotion previously listed here applied to select 2025 stays and has expired. Do not use an old percentage discount or former hotel benefit to estimate a new trip’s price. Compare current travel dates, room categories, and available offers instead.
