Destination D23 2023 archive — reviewed October 13, 2026. This was Destination D23, not a 2023 D23 Expo. The announcements below describe what Disney presented in September 2023; they are not all upcoming experiences today.
What did Disney announce for its cruise line?
The presentation discussed fleet expansion, including Disney Treasure and Disney Adventure, and Disney Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point. Lookout Cay is a Disney destination on the Bahamian island of Eleuthera, not a separate private island.

What was announced for Disneyland?
Disney shared plans for a new Avengers Campus attraction at Disney California Adventure, along with Asha character appearances connected to Wish. Early concept art records the announcement; it is not a promise that the attraction is open or that a character appears every day.
Our Disneyland Planning Guide focuses on organizing an actual visit.
Which Walt Disney World announcements became experiences?
- Journey of Water, Inspired by Moana: The 2023 presentation announced an October 16, 2023 opening at EPCOT.
- Luminous The Symphony of Us: This is the correct show name, replacing the typo “Symphony of the US” in the old article. Its announced debut was December 5, 2023.
- Tiana’s Bayou Adventure: This is now an operating Magic Kingdom attraction. Read our updated Tiana ride guide for queue information.
- Pirates-themed lounge: The project became The Beak and Barrel, which opened August 29, 2025.
- Zootopia show: Zootopia: Better Zoogether! opened at Disney’s Animal Kingdom on November 7, 2025.
Why should you check beyond a D23 announcement?
A concept announcement is not an opening date. Names, designs, and construction schedules can change. Avoid booking a trip around an early rumor or a proposed attraction until Disney confirms when guests can experience it.
