Reviewed October 13, 2026. This guide covers Tiana’s Bayou Adventure at Magic Kingdom in Walt Disney World. The old opening-day virtual-queue and Genie+ instructions no longer apply.
Fall 2026 closure: Disney says the attraction will close for routine refurbishment on November 2 and is expected to reopen in December 2026. An exact reopening date is not listed. Check the official attraction page before planning your park day.
Does Tiana’s Bayou Adventure use a virtual queue?
Standby access replaced the opening-period virtual queue in February 2025. You do not need to join a 7 a.m. or 1 p.m. virtual queue under the current system. Check My Disney Experience for the ride’s operating status and posted wait.
Which Lightning Lane pass includes Tiana’s Bayou Adventure?
The attraction is listed in Magic Kingdom’s Lightning Lane Multi Pass first selection group. It is not sold as a Lightning Lane Single Pass. Premier Pass also includes one Lightning Lane entry when the attraction is available. A paid pass does not override a closure.
Compare the Multi Pass attraction groups and read our Lightning Lane booking explanation before choosing your rides.
How tall do you need to be, and will you get wet?
Riders must be at least 40 inches (102 cm) tall. The ride includes a 50-foot drop, and you may get wet. Consider your child’s comfort with drops as well as their height. A poncho and a dry place for your phone can make the rest of your park day more comfortable.
What is the ride about?
You join Tiana and Louis on a musical trip through the bayou to find musicians for a celebration. Familiar characters and animal musicians appear along the way. It is a water ride with a major drop, rather than a gentle boat trip for every age.

What happened to the opening-day food and merchandise?
This article originally covered the 2024 opening. Those limited-time treats and launch merchandise are not a promise of what will be sold during your trip. Check current menus and shop selections when you visit.
Tips for your first Magic Kingdom visit
- Choose a backup attraction in case this ride is unavailable.
- Plan water rides around your group’s comfort, weather, and meal plans.
- Leave time to walk between Frontierland and other parts of the park.
